About Rife Run Excavating LLC

Rife Run threads down through the farm ground of Rapho Township, and in a hard February it turns glass-edged and silent between its banks. Rife Run Excavating LLC takes its name from that water and its winters from the same weather — those gray afternoons when the sky lowers over the Furnace Hills and snow begins moving sideways across open fields. Plow trucks push the long farm lanes and the lots out toward Mastersonville, stacking the piles where they will not blind a driver pulling onto the road. Walkways get cleared by hand, and the ice is treated before dusk sets it hard. There is a real satisfaction in standing at the end of a drive afterward, looking at a place the storm did not manage to close.
