Snyder's Tree Service

About Snyder's Tree Service

By the middle of October the hills above town go copper and gold all at once, then the wind takes them, and the yards along the river fill with everything the woods have been holding. Winter follows fast here — a glaze of ice on the ridge, then the weight of it in the branches over a roof. Snyder's Tree Service reads the trees ahead of that: pruning and trimming out weak unions and the limbs hanging over the house, removing the ones the forest has already given up on, and turning out for storm damage cleanup when a night of freezing rain rearranges a hillside. The work is quiet and physical, and it ends with a raked lawn, a stack of firewood rounds and a driveway a truck can get down. That is the whole point — a place that holds up to what a winter in these headwaters brings.
