Point Township takes its name from the place where the West Branch and the North Branch of the Susquehanna lean into each other and agree to be one wide, unhurried river. Shawns Lawn and Excavating keeps lawns in that river light — mowing the long flat yards of the bottomland, trimming close where the fence lines run, cutting an edge you can follow with your eye from the road. Summer mornings come up hazy off the water and burn clear by nine, and grass takes a stripe beautifully in that hour.
