About Demusz Brothers Inc

Point Pleasant sits where the Tohickon comes down out of its gorge and hands itself over to the Delaware, with River Road running the length of it between the water and the hills. Demusz Brothers Inc clears that ground in winter — plowing driveways and lots, shoveling walks and steps, and salting the places that freeze back after dark. Snow behaves its own way in a river valley: it lingers in the shade of the bank, slicks over where the road runs close to the water, and the steep lanes climbing away from the river always ask for a second visit. Getting a household opened up before the road crews even reach the side lanes is the point of the work. When the towpath is still white and untouched, the driveways alongside it are already black.
