About MillerMows

Early on a June morning in Plunketts Creek Township, mist lifts off the stream that gives the township its name, and the hemlocks above Proctor stand dripping in the first sun. MillerMows says what it does right in the name: lawn care, beginning with the mowing that this damp, fast-growing season demands. Grass in a mountain hollow grows thick wherever the sun reaches, and keeping it even takes repeated passes, careful trimming around porches and woodpiles, and neat edges along the lane. The first stripe across a dewy yard, with the whole morning still ahead, sets the tone for the day. Under the ridge and beside moving water, a well-mown lawn is a small declaration that someone is home.
