About NEPA Tree Services

The Susquehanna bends past Pittston slow and wide, and the fog it makes at dawn hangs in the maples along the flats until the sun clears the ridge. On the streets stacked up from the river the trees are old and close — close to a roofline, a garage, the wires threading between porches. NEPA Tree Services takes them on: removal when a hollow trunk has run out of years, trimming and pruning to hold the canopy off the house, and storm damage cleanup when a valley wind funnels through and leaves half a silver maple in a back yard. Brush goes out the narrow side lot by hand rather than across the lawn, and the last pass is a rake, because a job unfinished at ground level is not finished. It is steady work in a river town, and the result is a street that keeps its shade and loses its worry.
