Storms here arrive in pieces rather than all at once, so the job is often three visits instead of one. Coming back at two in the morning to a lot already half-filled again is the unglamorous part — and the reason the lot is open at dawn. Bridges, hills, alleys: everything in this town is a little steeper than it needs to be, and it all still has to be passable.
