About Paul Miller's Landscaping

August in Pittsburgh is heavy and slow, the air thick off the Allegheny and the gold-painted bridges shimmering as if the heat might melt them a little. Paul Miller's Landscaping does lawn care through that stretch of summer, when grass on the city's slopes either gets tended or gets away. Mowing on a regular rhythm keeps it in hand, and trimming and edging finish the job, so a front yard on an uphill block looks deliberate rather than overgrown. Late afternoon is when this town shows off, long light on brick houses and the hum of a ballgame drifting across the water, and a fresh-cut lawn fits right into the picture. A Pittsburgh yard holding its own against the August swelter makes the walk home feel a few degrees cooler.
