Overbeck Nursery & Landscaping

About Overbeck Nursery & Landscaping

Late April in the North Hills switches everything on at once: redbud smoking pink along the fencerows, dogwood at the edge of the woods, lawns coming back so green it startles you. Overbeck Nursery & Landscaping meets that week with a truck bed full of plants and a route of Pittsburgh addresses waiting. The days run from mowing and string trimming to bed edging, mulching, new plantings and the cleanups that open and close the year. A planting is a promise made to somebody's future summer, which is reason enough to set the root collar right and water it in properly. Up in Ross, Shaler, McCandless and West View, a crew learns fast which yards drain in an hour and which ones sulk for days after a storm.
