The name lays the year out in order. Lawn: the long green stretch of a Pittsburgh summer, mowing and trimming and edging the walks around Highland Park's big shaded blocks. Leaf: October, when the maples above the reservoir let go all at once and cleanup becomes the entire workday. Snow: the plowing and shoveling and salting that begins somewhere after Thanksgiving and doesn't truly quit until the crocuses come up in Stanton Heights.
