About Derby Landscaping

Snow in Pittsburgh is mostly a question of grade. A street that is merely steep in July becomes a whole decision in January, and the driveways hung off the hillsides above the Monongahela have to be open before anyone tries them. Derby Landscaping plows, shovels and salts through those small hours, working ridge-top streets and river-flat lots with the same attention. There is a stretch just before dawn when the bridges are still white and the valley is quiet enough to hear the blade. Then the porch lights come on one by one, the walks are down to concrete, salt is spread ahead of the refreeze, and the way out is open.
