Flourishing Landscapes

About Flourishing Landscapes

Green arrives in the Schuylkill valley from the bottom up — the damp low ground along the creeks goes first, then the yards, then finally the ridges out toward Valley Forge. Flourishing Landscapes meets it there, opening the year with cleanups that clear winter off the beds and closing it with the leaf work in November. Between those two ends sits the weekly rhythm: mowing at a height that suits the month, trimming around posts and trunks, edging that keeps a curve looking deliberate, and mulch spread before June sun can dry a bed out. Phoenixville summers swing from a soaking week to a stretch of hard glare, and grass tells you immediately which one it has been. Reading that and cutting accordingly is most of the job, and a lawn still holding its color in August is the proof.
