About Thompson Tree Service

Philipsburg sits high and cold on the western edge of the Alleghenies, where Moshannon Creek runs dark and the snow piles up long past the calendar's permission. Thompson Tree Service works that country — removals of storm-broken pine and hemlock, trimming limbs off roofs that already carry enough weight, pruning hardwoods in the bare months when the structure is easy to read. When a heavy snow or a summer blowdown drops timber across a driveway, the crew cuts it out, hauls the brush and leaves the ground clean. A driveway opened before the next front arrives is its own kind of good day. Service covers Chester Hill, Osceola Mills, Morrisdale, Munson, Sandy Ridge, Houtzdale and Port Matilda.
