Crabby’s Lawn Care Service

About Crabby’s Lawn Care Service

In mid-June the mountain laurel opens all along the little runs that feed the Pohopoco, and the woods go pink-white for two short weeks. Crabby's Lawn Care Service is mowing right through it — weekly cuts, string trimming, edging, and the spring and fall cleanups that bookend a growing season shorter than the valley's. Penn Forest Township lawns sit in dappled hemlock shade, thin-soiled and stubborn, and they reward patience more than horsepower. Getting an even cut across a rooty, uneven clearing is its own small craft. By the time the laurel drops, the grass has hit its stride and the routine holds until leaf season. Mown, trimmed, tidied — and then the mountain gets to look after itself again.
