Green Horizon Lawn Serivce

About Green Horizon Lawn Serivce

Along Route 534 the forest opens into old clearings where the sky gets big and the wind comes straight across. Green Horizon Lawn Serivce starts there each May, once the mud has firmed and the grass finally decides it is safe — first cuts, trimming, edges reclaimed after a winter of freeze and heave. Penn Forest Township keeps a late spring and pays it back with cool green summers, so lawns here stay lush well past the point where lowland turf gives up. Weekly mowing, mulch where the beds meet the treeline, and cleanups at both ends of the year are the shape of the season. There is a plain pride in a mowed clearing ringed by dark woods — a made thing, held on purpose. Come November the leaves come off and the ground is put away neat.
