About Schuylkill Excavating LLC

Orwigsburg sits in the lee of Blue Mountain, and a nor'easter climbing that wall drops the heaviest of it right on the town. Schuylkill Excavating LLC answers with the plow — driveways, lots and long approaches opened up, banks pushed wide, walkways cleared and treated until the footing comes back. Above town the Tumbling Run water stays dark between white banks, and the streets around the square go quiet in a way they never do otherwise. Being first through is its own reward: machine noise at four in the morning that means somebody's day was rescued before it began. The storm passes, the sun comes over the ridge, and the borough gets on with it.
