P J's Trucking & Excavating

About P J's Trucking & Excavating

In Orbisonia, the old narrow-gauge rails of the East Broad Top lie quiet beside town through the deep of winter, and after a storm the snow rests on them as smooth as a fresh bedsheet. P J's Trucking & Excavating takes on the other work a Huntingdon County winter hands out: snow removal, done with machinery built for heavy loads. Drives that wind down off the hillsides are plowed out to full width, the turnaround at the top is opened up, and the snow is pushed where it won't block a driver's view at the road. For a truck-and-excavator outfit, snow is simply material to be moved, and moving material well is the whole trade. When the clouds lift and the hills over Orbisonia go bright, every drive runs open to the highway.
