About Spring Valley Lawns

April in this valley is mud and meltwater and then, almost overnight, green. Spring Valley Lawns starts its year right there, clearing off what winter left across Old Forge yards and taking the first cut as soon as the ground will hold a mower. From then on it is a weekly turn — mowing, trimming along the foundations and the fences, edging where the grass tries to creep onto the concrete. The name is a promise about a season, and the work keeps it from the thaw straight through to the last cut. Come November the leaves are hauled off and the yard is closed out, ready to do it all again.
