Lawnmower Lunatics

About Lawnmower Lunatics

By nine on a Saturday morning half of Old Forge has an engine running, and Lawnmower Lunatics is somewhere in that chorus with the trimmer already going. The name is a joke; the cut is not. Mowing at the right height for the week, trimming tight to the posts and the porch steps, edging the front walk until the line is sharp enough to notice from the street. Every yard gets swept before the truck rolls, and the crew takes plain satisfaction in a lawn that looks like somebody meant it. Fall brings the leaf cleanup, spring opens everything back up, and then it all starts over.
