About A & D Landscaping

The first cut of the year in Old Forge comes when the Lackawanna finally runs clear and the yards off Main Street shake off their winter gray. A & D Landscaping works those blocks with a mower and a trimmer and an eye for where grass gets away from a person — the strip by the curb, the slope behind the garage, the corner the sun forgets until June. Every pass is set to leave a straight line and a clean edge, because a tidy lawn is the first thing a house says to the street. Through the growing months the rhythm is one the borough knows well: cut, trim, blow the clippings off the walk, move on. In spring and again in fall there are cleanups, when the beds are cleared and the yard is handed back to the season.
