About King's Landscaping

The old houses on the Oil City hillsides sit on yards cut into terraces — narrow steps of grass stacked above the street, every one of them wanting a hand. King's Landscaping takes them in spring, once the ground finally lets go of winter: mowing the flats and the slopes, edging along walls and stone stairways, trimming back whatever got wild by March. Nothing shows off a mower's care like a terrace cut clean to the retaining wall. Then the year swings around, those same steps glaze over, and out come the plows, the shovels and the salt until the path from sidewalk to front door is just a path again. Steep town, steady work.
