Smith Services

About Smith Services

March in Ohio Township is a plain, unlovely month — mud in the low spots, grit from the plow trucks pushed up into every lawn edge, everything the color of an old nickel. It is also the month that decides what June looks like, which is why Smith Services starts the year with spring cleanups: raking out winter debris, clearing beds and walks, and getting the turf standing up again before the first cut. From there it's the regular rhythm of mowing, trimming and edging straight through until the leaves come down and the property gets closed out for the cold. Watching a yard go from gray and matted to sharp-edged and upright over two visits never really gets old. That turn is the best thing about working ground in this part of the valley.
