About Volpe Enterprises, Inc.

Out past the borough line the land tilts gently up toward Gwynedd, and on that open rise a storm blowing in off the coast arrives sideways, packing the driveway ends long after the sky has cleared. Volpe Enterprises, Inc. plans for exactly that: the first pass while it's still coming down, the second once the wind has finished rearranging things. Long suburban drives get opened end to end, turnarounds widened so nobody has to reverse the whole length in the dark, walks shoveled and salted from the door to the mailbox. Somewhere around dawn the plow lights sweep one last time across a street of clean black driveways and untouched white lawns — a good picture to drive home to. It is plain work, and doing it right on the worst night of the year is the reason people call back in October.
