Mac's Mowing

About Mac's Mowing

Fog lifts off the Monongahela before sunrise and pools in the low streets toward McKeesport, and North Versailles Township comes out of it a block at a time. Mac's Mowing is already moving in that early gray — mowing, trimming and edging through the growing months, mulching beds, shaping shrubs, clearing yards top to bottom in spring and fall. When the cold takes over, the work becomes plowing, hand-shoveling steep walks and porch steps, and salting drives that run downhill toward the road. Snow on an Allegheny County hillside is a different animal than snow on flat ground, and it gets treated like one. Either season, the aim is the same: a place that looks looked-after by the time the fog lets go.
