About Rich Grillo Enterprise

North Newton wakes under the long shoulder of Blue Mountain, and when the wind comes down off Doubling Gap it carries the snow sideways across the limestone fields. Rich Grillo Enterprise is out in that hour, headlights in the drifting white, opening farm lanes and driveways before the first school bus rolls toward Newville. The work is plowing, shoveling the walk to the door, and laying salt where the shade keeps ice long after noon. There is a particular satisfaction in a black driveway with a straight banked edge, waiting for somebody who never had to think about it. Big Spring runs on unfrozen through all of it, and the valley comes up pink at sunrise over ground already cleared.
