About Randy Nelson Tree Co.

Wind comes over the wooded ridges east of Jeannette with nothing much to slow it, and what falls at midnight has usually drifted twice by four in the morning. Randy Nelson Tree Co. runs snow removal through those nights — plowing the drives, opening the turnarounds, clearing walks, and putting salt down on shaded stretches that stay white long after the rest of the street has let go. The back roads out toward the township get forgotten by everyone except the people who live on them, and those are the ones worth doing right. The measure of a good storm is undramatic: everybody gets where they were going. Jeannette, Penn Township, Manor, Adamsburg and the Westmoreland County roads around them.
