About AOS Outdoor Services

Everything in Nicholson is measured against the viaduct — those great concrete arches carrying the rail line high above Tunkhannock Creek, visible from half the yards in town. AOS Outdoor Services works underneath it and all through the hollows around it: mowing, trimming and edging while the Endless Mountains are green, then plowing, shoveling and salting when they are not. Wyoming County gets its snow in earnest and gets it early, and a hillside driveway up here can be an event all its own. The growing season runs short and hard, so a mowing schedule is something you actually keep. Whether it is a clean cut in July or a drive opened at five in the morning in January, the aim holds steady — a property that works on the day you need it to.
