About J&A Lawncare & Landscapes Inc.

On a June evening in Newville the valley goes quiet enough that you can hear a mower two farms over, and the light lies long and low against South Mountain. J&A Lawncare & Landscapes Inc. spends those evenings and the mornings ahead of them on lawns across the Cumberland Valley — mowing to an even height, trimming around posts and beds, edging the walks, and hauling off what the cut leaves behind. The soil over this limestone country grows grass with real enthusiasm, so keeping a yard tidy is a matter of rhythm rather than rescue. Yards out here run big, with room between the house and the road, which makes a straight line something you can actually see. Nothing complicated about the goal: a lawn that looks tended, week after week, right up to the last cut of the fall.
