About Jarvis Landscaping

Adams County farmhouses sit close to their dooryards — stone, brick, a maple out front older than the porch — and come April every bit of it needs waking up. Jarvis Landscaping starts there: clearing off the winter's litter, cutting beds back to a defined border, laying mulch, and putting down the first mows once the ground firms underfoot. Through the season it is steady mowing and trimming, keeping the grass even right up to the foundation and along the fence line where machines get awkward. Old houses look their best when the ground around them is kept simple and neat, and that, mostly, is the work. New Oxford, Oxford Township, and the roads that run west toward Gettysburg.
