Shurina Brothers Tree Services

About Shurina Brothers Tree Services

October turns the hillsides above the Allegheny at New Kensington every shade at once, and then a week of wind takes it all down. Shurina Brothers Tree Services works those slopes through the turn of the year — removing trees off the steep back lots where a yard drops away toward the river, trimming crowns clear of gutters and wires, pruning the older street trees along the flat blocks. Storms funnel up the river and lay limbs across driveways; the work is opening the way first, then cutting the rest down to bare ground. A finished job looks like nothing ever happened there, which is exactly the point. Service covers New Kensington, Arnold, Parnassus, Lower Burrell, Springdale, Verona and Plum.
