About Bean Machine Landscaping

At three in the morning the crossroads near Sassamansville are a single blinking light over empty asphalt, and that is when the plowing starts. Bean Machine Landscaping runs snow removal across New Hanover township — driveways pushed back to the stone, walks shoveled out, salt laid where ice likes to gather at the bottom of a slope. The hill drives out here can strand a whole household if nobody has been by. The good part arrives at daybreak: dark wet pavement, a car pulling out without a thought, somebody who never had to worry about it. That is the entire point of the night.
