Iron Root Landworks

About Iron Root Landworks

The ground in New Garden is red clay and it freezes hard, so by deep January a snowfall sits on top of the pavement instead of soaking away into it. Iron Root Landworks reads that and plows accordingly — opening drives and lots, cutting walks clear, and salting the spots that glaze over once the sun drops. Hedgerow lines catch the drifting here, and the same corner of the same lane fills back in a few hours after it has been cleared. Coming back is part of the job rather than a complication. There is a plain reward in a property that stays usable straight through a three-day stretch of weather.
