About Stars & Stripes Lawn Services

New Freedom sits a mile from the Mason-Dixon line, where the old Northern Central rail bed runs south through the hills as a trail and a steam whistle still carries across town on a summer Saturday. Stars & Stripes Lawn Services works the yards on either side of it — mowing, trimming, edging and cleanups from the first flush of April growth to the last leaves of November. Southern York County rolls; nothing is flat, and a lawn cut with the contour instead of against it plainly shows the difference. When storms track up from the Maryland side, the work shifts to plowing driveways and clearing walks before the commute begins. A clean drive at dawn on a snow day is worth every bit as much as a mowing stripe in July.
