About Finley's Services

New Castle's northwest side runs uphill from the water, where the Neshannock feeds the Shenango and river fog sits in the low streets well past sunrise. Finley's Services works those blocks in both directions of the year — mowing, trimming and edging through the long green stretch from April into October, then plowing and shoveling when squalls drift down out of the northwest and lay a hand on Lawrence County overnight. There is a particular satisfaction in a driveway opened while the porch lights are still on, and in a lawn whose edge along the walk is drawn clean as a pencil line. Summer here rewards patience: the grass grows hard in July, eases, then comes on again in the cool of September. Whatever the month asks for, the truck arrives with the right machine and leaves the place looking looked-after.
