T.L General Labor

About T.L General Labor

Nanty-Glo took its name from the Welsh for the streams of coal, and it stands high enough on the Allegheny plateau that winter arrives early and settles in. T.L General Labor shovels and plows through it — driveways, walks, porch steps, and the packed ridge the road plow leaves across the end of a drive. Snow here comes in long grey stretches rather than single storms, so the work is repetition: clear it, treat it, come back when it fills in again. Steps are scraped down to the tread and walks are cut wide enough for two to pass. On a morning when the whole valley above Blacklick Creek is white and silent, an open path to the street is worth a great deal.
