About Miller Lawn Services

Haymaker Run drops through Murrysville in a wooded seam, and on August mornings the fog lies in it until the sun finally climbs the ridge and burns the whole hollow clear. Miller Lawn Services is usually out before that happens, mowing while the air is still cool, trimming around fence lines and downspouts, running an edge along the walk so the lawn has a shape to it. The same hollows that hold fog in summer hold ice in February, which is when the work becomes plowing and salting instead — drives opened, steps cleared, the shaded curve at the bottom of a hill given extra attention. Between the two there are cleanups, spring and fall, the bracketing chores that make everything else look easy. Grass cut, snow gone: the two conditions a Murrysville yard is ever really asked for.
