Opp Co

About Opp Co

At four in the morning Muncy is streetlight and salt, the river running black past the levee and nothing moving on Water Street but a plow. Opp Co works that hour, pushing driveways and lots open and cutting paths across walks so the first shift can get out without thinking about it. Wind off the West Branch drifts a cleared drive back over in twenty minutes some nights, which is why the trucks come around again. The reward never gets old: headlights, a clean apron of pavement, somebody backing out on time. Muncy, Muncy Creek Township, Pennsdale, Hughesville and Montgomery are the winter rounds.
