About Gatz’s Mowing And More
By late August the creek that names this township runs low and clear over its stones, and the corn along the road stands taller than a man on a mower. Gatz's Mowing And More works into that heat — the steady pass of the deck, the trimmer opening a line at the fence post, the walk cleared at the end. Lawns out here sit somewhere between field and yard, and they ask to be cut a little differently for it. Cleanups in spring and again in autumn take the season's leftovers off the grass and out of the corners. What stays is a place that looks looked-after from the road, which is most of what the "And More" means.
