About Thumbs Up Landscaping

Spring shows up on Brownsville Road before it shows up anywhere else in Mount Oliver — a green line along the curbs, and then all at once the yards behind the storefronts need cutting. Thumbs Up Landscaping takes them on: mowing, string trimming, bed edging, and the plantings that give a hard-surfaced hilltop something soft to look at. The lots are tight and the grades unforgiving, so most of it happens on foot, with the mower held to the slope, and the route comes back through in November for whatever the maples drop. What comes of it is a block that reads as looked after — clean lines, no ragged corners, nothing gone to seed.
