All lawn care

About All lawn care

Mount Carmel is built on a grade, and so are its lawns — small squares of green stacked up the hillside streets, each one a little higher than the last, most of them held between a row house wall and a set of concrete steps. All lawn care works that vertical town, mowing yards a big machine would never fit, trimming around railings and retaining walls, and edging the walks so the grass stops exactly where it should. In a place this tightly built, a tidy patch of lawn carries more weight than its size suggests; it is what a whole block sees from the porch. Spring and fall bring the clean-out — winter grit swept off, leaves cleared before the rains, everything squared away. Small yards, done properly, all the way up the hill.
