Schulz Lawn and Garden

About Schulz Lawn and Garden

First light comes late to Morgan — the ridge to the east holds it back a while, and dew sits long in the low ground near the old Panhandle rail bed. Schulz Lawn and Garden begins there, mowing while the air is still cool and moving into the beds once the grass has dried. Garden work fills the rest of the day: weeding, mulching, and cutting back the perennials that sprawl across a walk by July. In this corner of the county a yard is half lawn and half planting, and both halves have to be tended for either one to look right. Some evenings the mowing is finished and a whole street of grass is standing at the same height, which is its own reward.
