About Asturi Contracting

At three in the morning the Turnpike interchange is lit and empty, and the snow comes across the plateau in long gray sheets. Asturi Contracting is out in it, plowing Monroeville driveways and lots, cutting the first pass down a slope before anyone has to try it in a car. Western Pennsylvania snow arrives heavy and wet as often as it comes light, and it takes salt and a second look to keep a walkway honest once the freeze-thaw sets in. Shoveled steps, a clear apron at the end of the drive, a lot opened before the first shift — that is the entire job. By the time the sky lightens over the ridge, the work is already behind them.
