The Wyomissing Creek begins in the hills near Mohnton, small enough to step across before it ever gets anywhere near Reading. Klahr Landscape covers the farm lanes and side streets out that way once snow arrives — plowing, walkway clearing, ice control on the shaded stretches. Winter dusk comes early over southern Berks, so a good share of the work happens with headlights on, tracing the same driveways twice in a night if the storm keeps up. A drive opened at ten and opened again at four is the difference between a good morning and a bad one. Mohnton is a small place that takes its mornings seriously.
