From the hill above Mifflintown you can see the Juniata, the rail line on the far bank, and Port Royal sitting across the water. keystone lawn covers the ground on this side and the roads leading out from it — mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, fertilizing, weed control and seasonal cleanups, then plowing, shoveling and salt once the valley freezes over. Juniata County weather is a ridge-and-valley business: sun on one slope, ice in the hollow, sometimes an hour apart. Working with that rather than against it is most of what the job actually is. A clean lawn in July, an open drive in January, and the same doors to knock on either way.
