Middle Creek runs right through Middleburg, and in April it carries the last of the ridge melt past yards just beginning to green. Blesst Landscapes works both halves of the Snyder County year — mowing, trimming and edging through the growing months, cleanups in spring and fall, then plowing, shoveling and salting once the valley locks up in January. Farm-country weather is honest about itself: open sky, open wind, nothing at all between a storm and a driveway. Getting a lane cleared before the school bus comes through is a small thing that means a lot out here. It is the same feeling in June, when a mown lawn against a red barn is about as good as a day gets.
