About Hilltop Distributors Co

Storms here tend to arrive after supper, when Baltimore Pike goes quiet and the parking lots turn into one flat sheet of white. That is when the trucks of Hilltop Distributors Co go to work, plowing lots and drives, opening walkways and spreading salt on the spots that glaze over first. Working through the night has its own kind of quiet to it: headlights, the scrape of steel, the slow return of black pavement. By the time Media's storefronts unlock, the curb cuts are open and the entries are safe to walk. Along the Pike and out through the neighborhoods that climb away from it, that is the whole ambition — a town that can get where it is going.
