BFF Arbor & Lawn

About BFF Arbor & Lawn

Around the middle of October the old maples over McKeesport's side streets decide all at once, and a yard that was tidy on Friday is ankle deep by Sunday. BFF Arbor & Lawn works that stretch of the calendar the way other people work a harvest: raking, hauling, clearing walks and fence lines, then a last low cut to send the lawn into the cold clean. Mowing, trimming and edging fill the months before it, week after week, so the grass is even when the leaves start falling. It is plain work with a plainly beautiful result, a wide brown yard turned green and open again in a single afternoon. The route covers McKeesport and the hill towns gathered around it.
