Ace’s Lawn Care

About Ace’s Lawn Care

First light reaches McKeesport late, sliding down the hillsides long before it finds the water. That is the hour Ace's Lawn Care likes best: dew still heavy, the first pass of the mower laying one dark line across a yard that looked shaggy the evening before. Mowing, trimming and edging here mean working ground that tilts, because every lawn in this town has an opinion about gravity. The payment is the walk back to the truck, looking uphill at a border cut straight along the sidewalk and grass that finally looks tended. Ace's works McKeesport and the river boroughs beside it, one yard at a time.
