Love's Tree Service & Systems

About Love's Tree Service & Systems

Maytown keeps its green square in the middle and its farm fields at the edges, and by late October the walnuts along the fencerows have dropped everything they had. Love's Tree Service & Systems works this corner of Lancaster County above the Susquehanna, pruning dooryard trees so a farmhouse gets its afternoon light back, trimming limbs off barn eaves and lane wires, removing the locusts and maples that have leaned too far to leave alone. Storm damage cleanup here is a field lane opened and a fence line freed, usually before breakfast. The wood is cut short, the brush is hauled off, and the grass is raked until the square edge of the lawn shows again. Level ground, open sky, and a village that looks the way it always meant to.
