About Solid Grounds Landscaping

Masontown sits where the Monongahela country begins to rise toward Chestnut Ridge, and you can watch weather come across that ridge with a good half hour's warning. Solid Grounds Landscaping uses the warning well — mowing and trimming through the green months, edges cut clean along walks and drives, cleanups run in spring and again when the Fayette County hillsides let go of their leaves. In winter the plows go on and the route turns to driveways and lots, walks opened by hand, salt down on the shaded stretches that stay slick past noon. Storms here can be wet and heavy one week and dry and blowing the next, and the work adapts either way. Coming back down the valley at the end of a shift past a line of tidy, opened properties is reward that stands on its own.
